However, in 1871, it was returned to Gloucester County, along with areas that had been used to create Monroe Township in 1859. How do I get to Washington Township Municipal Court?

Frequently Asked Questions about Washington Township, NJ Criminal Defense.
FAQ: What options do I have for resolving my criminal charges?
While many people assume that criminal charges are settled through a trial with a jury verdict, the truth is that most criminal cases are resolved before they reach trial. A common way these cases are concluded is through a plea agreement, where the defendant agrees to plead guilty to specific charges in return for the prosecution recommending a lighter sentence than what might have been given if the case had gone to trial and resulted in a conviction. In some situations, alternative outcomes, such as participation in drug court, may be available. Additionally, charges can sometimes be dismissed if the defendant can prove that the prosecution lacks enough evidence to establish probable cause.
FAQ: How long will a criminal record stay on my record if I’m convicted of a crime in New Jersey?
Sadly, criminal records are permanent—once you’re convicted of a crime, the record stays with you for life. However, in New Jersey, it’s possible to request the expungement of certain arrest and conviction records for specific types of offenses. If your criminal records are expunged, they are generally not accessible in situations like job or housing applications. However, they could still be accessible to law enforcement or court authorities in particular circumstances. More severe crimes, such as sexual offenses or violent crimes, are not eligible for expungement.
